"Traveler" was founded in July 2004, is the travel channel tourism program in China. This program is the most-watched tourism program in mainland China, is China's television outdoor exploration, human geography, and one of the most important program of public environmental protection field. As the theme, the traveler is walking and discovery to travelers show individual glamour and purpose of humanistic amorous feelings as the main body of the series. In the sight of the public, at the beginning of the road traffic outside the special journey, find the beauty of the landscape and food and drink in great intoxicating wine, collect means unique treasures, perusing dusty history, character and fresh. This program also like the private diary for travelers and emphasis on individual found. The most famous series include” To Berlin by Thumb” and “Go on a trip with me”.
Today, I will talk about the series of “To Berlin by Thumb”. In this series, an American Chinese guy (GuYue), a documentary filmmaker (liu), only rely on the help of strangers, all the way in the summer of 2009 from Beijing to Berlin, Germany, by waving a lift to go forward, hitchhiking 88 times (including the Uighur big ye tricycle, Iraqi farmer tractor, gypsy wagon, through 13 Asian and European countries, across China, central Asia and Europe, takes three and a half months, travel more than 16000 kilometers, finally arrived in Berlin, Germany. During this trip, they spent 18 hours in 620 kilometers by a big truck, but they only use 3 hours from Budapest to Prague (530 kilometers). This is my favorite TV program and I also want to have a trip like this. No schedule, only have an brave heart.
